Mrs. Brenda DesOrmeaux

Currently serve as President of the DesOrmeaux Foundation, Inc. a non-profit organization dba The Women’s Center of Lafayette, St. Marguerite d’Youville Home and Baby & Me Boutique. Currently serve as Executive Director of The Women’s Center of Lafayette, a women’s resource center. Founder of The women’s Center of Lafayette, St. Marguerite d’Youville Home and Baby & Me Boutique. Serve in these capacities without compensation.

Abstinence Educator – National Professional Certification as an Abstinence Educator

Served as Regional Curriculum coordinator for the Governor’s Program on Abstinence. 1997-2005

This position coordinated the training of volunteer Teachers for the Governor’s Program on Abstinence in      the Public school system. The coordination of this region consisted of a four parish area. Trained over 50 teachers and served as a guest speaker to many civic and faith-based organizations.
