Louisiana Right to Life’s Facebook page recently posted this video taken at the Louisiana State Capital showing 9-year-old Hopkins from Lafayette testifying before LA House Committee during a hearing on a bill to allow abortion in Louisiana.  This must watch video is Hopkins sharing his personal story about an abortion that didn’t happen.

Our dream of a “Learning Center” on our Campus is taking shape! The construction team has started the process of building our new building that will be the home of our, DesOrmeaux Foundation Learning Center. When this dream becomes a reality we will use it to deliver vital educational and spiritual programs to our clients such as: Baby and Me parental classes, Theology of the Body formation classes, and work skills classes for Moms and Dads in unplanned pregnancy situations.  If you are in a position to donate to this needed cause please click on the make a donation button above.

Recently the Mayor/President of Lafayette, Josh Guillory, awarded our founder, Brenda DesOrmeaux, the key to the City of Lafayette for her 24 years of dedication to PRO-LIFE in Acadiana!

Recently our founder, Brenda DesOrmeaux, board members and staff participated in a groundbreaking ceremony to announce the beginning of construction on our new DesOrmeaux Foundation Learning Center.  When completed the facility will house parenting, economic and spiritual classes for our clients and maternity home residents.   Check-in often for updates on this project as we prepare to meet the needs of pregnant Moms and their babies.  

On September 7th Citizens for a New Louisiana Organization honored our Founder, Brenda DesOrmeaux, and Frank Pavone for their tireless and extensive work in the Pro Life movement.  Both Mrs. Brenda and Mr. Pavone, who is the National Director for Priests for Life, were awarded as Champions of Change. 

Saturday, June, 24th. is the 1 year anniversary of the overturning of Roe Vs. Wade by the United State’s Supreme Court. We thank our Pro-Life Louisiana State legislators and our State Attorney General for giving the unborn, in our state, the rights and protection they deserve.

We’ve seen a monthly 83% increase in pregnant Moms needing our services since the overturning of Roe v. Wade. This video is one Mom’s story of how your donation can make a difference to help Mother’s Choose LIFE.

An incredible message all should hear. December 12th is the Feast Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe and we celebrated the Feast with a Mass at our campus chapel.  Fr. John Joseph of the Community of Jesus Crucified In St. Martinville delivered an inspiring homily during the celebration that pointed to Our Lady of Guadalupe as a model for the dignity of all women.
